Regardless of location, we may be able provide the design,
engineering details and specifications for your lighting or cooling system. We
work with clients on a personal basis to provide a solution that you
will be proud of. Whether enhancing the mood, beefing up security or
making your business safer and more productive is the goal, Aurora's solutions will deliver
more than your expectations.
What we will need:
Information:
Local building codes and requirements are the first
priority. Do dark sky laws apply in your area? Is there a minimum
footcandle threshold that must be maintained? Are you required to
meet OSHA requirements? Does your property fall under zoning or
architectural restrictions? We will need all specific codes which
pertain to the design.
Is the project under construction? We will need
architectural elevations and details, and a landscape plan. We can work
with formal plans from a Landscape Architect, CAD files, or a
hand-drawn sketch from your landscape contractor, as long as the
placement of design elements is clear, and the size and species of
plants is noted. This includes any hardscaping such as walkways, decks,
pools, fountains, etc.
Does the project already exist? Pictures and
measurements are required. The more detail we have, the better the
design will be. Photographs of structures on the property will help us
visualize the desired shadowing effects, and a clear understanding of the landscape design is essential.
Communication:
As important as the architecture and landscaping is,
your input is really the key. Consultation and conversation about your
particular tastes and the way you intend to use the space are
invaluable tools in the design process. 'Getting inside your head' and
working with your personality and expectations allows us to be more
precise in pleasing you.
Of course, we have a number of clients who simply
defer to our professional design skills and give us latitude as
designers. We will be happy to work with you either way.
